Clipse have been one of my favorite hip-hop groups for a few years. I’ve seen them here in the ATL as well as in Austin. I could tell from their performances, they enjoy playing smaller venues for crowd interaction despite their massive popularity. When I found out they had a new single, I had to share it. Supposedly they’re working on an album that’s slated for a Fall/Winter 2008 release. Stay on it!

I had the honor to be part of a program called PUSH. Began by Vince Hungate of Essential2Life, PUSH is structured to instill marketable skills in youth from low-income areas. These skills will enable these youth to pursue careers in fields that they would not have been exposed to due to the lack of opportunities present. Because of the unsuccessful education reform program, No Child Left Behind, the art classes are usually the first to get cut. Push allows teenagers from all around the Atlanta area to pursue different creative outlets and at the same time receive school credit.
This was the third Photoshop class that we’ve had so far and I have to say that these kids have gone beyond what I expected. They have done some amazing stuff for only have been working with the program for three days and yes their designs even have a concept. We have been working on individual posters that will be printed in limited edition and sold to raise money for the program.
Remember that photoshoot we had last night at El Bar? Head over to wearetheprocess.com for more details on that tip. If you’re super-curious and want the password to the lookbook, email info@wearetheprocess.com
Thanks to everyone who came out to show us love at El Bar last night. Special thanks to Rob Wonder for letting us have the event at our favorite hang out. We’re looking forward to more events in conjunction with the EL. We’ll have content up real soon at wearetheprocess.com
We just got back from our press check of the PROCESS line in Athens. Ross Martin borrowed Jorge’s video camera without asking so he could document our day. I have a feeling this is the first of many video blogs from Ross, as long as Jorge doesn’t mind.
We’re producing our lookbook in an unorthodox manner by asking ATLiens to come out to our favorite spot, El Bar, for a night of mayhem on camera. Here are the details.

If you are interested in wearing a PROCESS piece in the lookbook, please write to rsvp@wearetheprocess.com. Otherwise, please come out with your crew and support by looking good, your mug could be famous!
We’ll be on press check later this week so stay tuned for production updates.
With lyrics like “9-5 / All the way live / and getting paid on the regular / I paid my bills right up on time” it’s hard not to compare Wallpaper to Jon Lajoie’s Everyday Normal Guy Rap Song. But don’t get it twisted, wallpaper is more than novelty rap, they’re like novelty electro, R&B, AND rap. Check out their awesomely hilarious video for T-Rex, and download TXT ME. If you’re still into it, then head over to their remix page and check the Little Bit of Feel Good by Jamie Lidell remix.
These are the final photos of our Medusa Armada Installation at Halo Lounge last Thursday. I hardly realized how quickly the evening went by between trying Halo’s signature “Dark & Stormy” drink and catching up with everyone who came out for support.
We’re looking forward to displaying alternate versions of Medusa Armada at more events and locations. If you guys know anyone at the Georgia Aquarium, let us know!

Dri - Smoke Rings is one of three albums that I purchased on itunes in the last twelve months. So needless to say, it’s currently on heavy rotation. I can’t remember where I heard of her, but her melodic lyrics over equally smooth beats had me hooked instantly.
I put a few of her tracks on various mixes for friends, and when asked who the artist was I always had to spell her name, or throw both “Dry” and “Dree” out as possible pronunciations.
So while in Lawrence, Kansas for my sister’s graduation from KU over the weekend, my family and I were out to dinner at a fairly cool restaurant and to my surprise the restaurant plays two of my favorite tracks off of Smoke Rings! I take the opportunity to ask our server if she knows how to pronounce the artist’s name, and she proceeds to tell me that we’re listening to HER music! I could hardly contain myself, and between attempting to tell her how big of a fan I am and that she could ride one of my mopeds when she comes to play Chicago in June, I think she told me her name is pronounced “Dree”, actually I’m positive of it.
Anyways, her music is dope and she’s super duper cool. Buy Smoke Rings!

I know there are a lot of ladies that have been telling us we don’t make enough stuff for women. Well now you have nothing to complain about because we decided to release the first tee of our new line, PROCESS, exclusively for the ladies. This tee was created in collaboration with everybody’s girl, Megan Huntz which will be available at the next Megan Huntz Dresses showcase at Changing Room in Barcelona on Saturday June 14th.
Changing Room is held for one day only at the chic and basic hotel located in the historic center of Barcelona. 29 designers take over a room each and open to the public for a shopping extravaganza of the coolest, most cutting edge young designers in Barcelona. If you’re not able to attend the event in Barcelona you’re in luck…we’ve kept some tees stateside that you can pick up in our online store.
This tee is the first in a 2 part series. Part 2 will be available with the rest of the PROCESS line in the Spring of 2009 at your favorite boutiques nationwide. Until then, you’ll have to hope you’re lucky enough to score a PROCESS tee prototype directly from us or be invited to our private lookbook photoshoot later next month. We don’t have all the details set in stone for the lookbook photoshoot/party, but we’re pretty close. If you want to come, let us know immediately by emailing info@epidemikcoalition.com.
Check out more photos of the new tee after the jump.Read more »
“Angelica” has been a mainstay of Epidemik Coalition from the very beginning so we figured there was no reason to leave her out when creating our new line, PROCESS. Tonight we got together with some of our favorite collaborators on the “Angelica” graphic for the line.
Ross Martin worked the photo magic, Marie Hanson did hairstyle concept & make-up, and our new friend Jessica Nash modeled. We’ve reinterpreted a lot of the Epidemik Coalition brand for the new line and the “Angelica” is the last on the list of things to complete.
Come out and show your support for your boys (& girl) at Pop Art at Halo on May 29th. We’re unveiling our Medusa Armada 3D installation that night. It’s nice that Halo Lounge realizes the impact of the creative community here in town and wants to help showcase our work. “Ultra Lounge” type places don’t usually host events for local artists but hopefully this will be the beginning of a trend here in ATL. I guess “design” is mainstream these days. Anyway, admission is free for everyone before 10PM.
Participating Artists:
Chris Hamer of Urbn Pop, Epidemik Coalition & Ted Ullrich, Ted Murphy of Spooky Toons, Jenny “Bunns” Young of Apprentice Diaries, Ashley Zeltzer of Cartoon Network, Andrew Bellury, Pierre Cerrato, Drew Dominey, Thom Foolery, Amanda Goodbread, Jennifer Henley, Damon Hooks, Stephanie Howard, Brett Thompson, Todd Redner, Dan Young & more.
